I find this dependence on the retailer peculiar to say the least.
People post problems with bad retail installations, and the reply is always, "take your LP12 in for service".
Quite simply if it wasn't for certain specialist dealers doing the QC for them and buffering the grief there wouldn't be any company period.
As for the comment they don't put manuals in all products is simply untrue.
As for dealers install everything nonsense any of their current products can be bought online for self installation.
I also have great hilarity that it's company policy not to include manuals then in the same paragraph quotes reference to one for the LP12.
I've got manuals for all my boxes except Krystal. :smt005

I agree 100%...but I'm very sad...   ...Linn seems to be ignoring my comments about their dealers on their forum.

Perhaps if they ignore me I will go away and shut my yap... xss08
Original 1978 Fluted Afromosia LP12, Ekos 2, Lyra Kleos SL and lots of other stuff from the 70's that still work fine.

The guy said it was a low rider straight out of the box but it's getting worse.
When listening to anything but a perfectly flat record it sometimes jumps and he hears the thud of the record going round.

Well that's got to go back. I'm planning a trip to Rearsby soon, but I really hope I don't need to add £3k to my expenditure.

Well, I’d like to change my interconnects. Then I’d like Peter to have a look at the stylus and cantilever. The outcome of that might influence what comes next.
