I know its just the way it photographs, but I think the NIMA headshell always looks wonky. Probably the acrylic being slightly translucent. :smt017

I have seen them so James and there is an adjustment via an allen screw if required.

Of course azimuth adjustment is always easy as whether one uses a standard counterweight or a Skale they are eccentric rather than round

In the set-up jig and then on test: A nice used Afro corner-braced plinth with baseboard, Bolted top-plate with nearly new motor, cross-brace, original Cirkus steel sub-chassis and an outer platter in good condition. Partnered with a brand new Cirkus kit, a brand new lid, hinges and Hercules plus a nice used Akito 2 with a brand new AT530 cartridge to complete. Sounds fantastic and is costing the client just a whisker over £2000.00.
I'm always happy to try and look after clients with LP12s whatever their financial or specification requirements.

BTW, in case you have seen this LP before on other pictures I've posted...It's because I use Sparticus to run in the cartridge for a while before making listening tests.

Actually, that really is a bargain! I don't think people realise how much turntable you can actually get from Linn. Even those that do assume that eBay is their only choice when, in reality, a dealer like Peter is a much better, and safer, proposition.

Quite busy here today and this is possibly an interesting one for some of you:

A cosmetic re-finish of an old Afromosia plinth retained for sentimental reasons and looking great IMHO The serial No of the LP12 was just over 30,000 BTW!

And on test later and sounding great:

In addition to the Nima arm shown above, I fitted and set-up an Audio Origami Uni arm this afternoon, so a bit of a uni-pivot day really :)
A really nice arm, musical and so involving and also easy to fit to the LP12 now after Johnnie made some changes at my suggestion. Thanks Johnnie.
Here are the two decks together:
