Steve[/quote]Steve,
Debs has a Naim Fraim glass balls and cups on top of the Vulkan board because it sounds good. :smt023
She has two at the back and one at the front just to be different :smt036
She will say its a balance thing. :smt023

no, he said it was a thin shelf, and the other was a thick shelf :g-rolleyes:

But it's an engineered wood of some kind, looks like melamine to me.

Well done on the photos Jim :smt023 . I suck at posting photos

As someone had already pointed out elsewhere, you get a lot of air in a Radikal!
Well Keeled :smt020

Akurate Radikal Board boxed in and fully wired.

Klimax Radikal constructed I like the boards being the same way up "or upside down" :smt017
And you can really see the construction quality difference
Looks very tasty :p Klimaxed.
Thanks to Shellspeed for the Klimax pic I couldn't find any.
Hope you don't mind me posting. 8) :smt023
Thanks for posting those pictures, Jim. There's certainly a better build quality to the Klimax Radikal. I guess it's the switch mode power supply that is better segregated in the Klimax. I wonder why Linn doesn't state the differences in build quality and audio performance (to be verified next Friday). Linn only mentions the cosmetic differences on its website.

I can't quite fathom out the orientation in those photos,
but i'm assuming the akurate boards are fixed into the base of the unit,
and the klimax boards are other way around 'upside-down' and fixed into the lid 'or roof' of the unit...?
An inverted board difference would explain why the mains power connections arrive at right hand side rear for Klimax and left hand side rear for the Akurate.

Yes, The Klimax boards are fitted to the 'lid' which confuddled me at first as well. I assume the idea being that the front/back/sides/lid are seamless with just the base inserted into the rebates. Lovely bit of CNCing.

I must say that the build of the Akurate doesn't look that great in comparison.
