Did you use a earth strap and mat every time you opened your Radikal box?
I have a very low static charge and always earth myself before opening any electronics. I have never needed an earth strap even when fitting a processor chip to a PC Motherboard.

Mrs O is another matter, I never let her in the room when I am electronicing.
James,
It doesn't matter if you have a lo static charge.
You can cause damage by just passing your hand/arm over the Radikal internal electronics without using a earth strap.
Just taking the lid off will be enough.

Yes, you can cause damage, not will cause damage.

If I have never damaged a processor chip it is unlikely (but not impossible) I would damage a Radikal. I know my limitations and where I can, and can not, take the chance.

Hopefully not in a Radikal box. I'm still travelling back from the game :(

Right now I am playing Suzanne Vega "Solitude Standing", something I am very familiar with and have used as a reference when upgrading for years.

Last playing was the previous modded Radikal (top, bottom, internal) now with this version (top, bottom and Oak Cone Feet) its so much better. If it was any more real Suzanne would be sitting on my lap.

Picking up a 10mm slab sometime this week to try as a heavier top plate. After that all mods will be finished (famous last words)

James,
Why not just use three quarter inch MDF board in the first place to line the top bottom and sides of your Radikal box?
Its dense heavy and very cheap.

... but non shielding. It sounds better with the top plate grounded than not. You can't do that with MDF
