<snip>The question is though, how long can I wait..?

... until the day after Peter is back from the USofA?

I think it might have to be a bit longer than that, James. I have some friends who are moving to Leamington Spa later in the summer, so it would be convenient to visit them en route. It would also be good to split the journey for a cup of tea - in both directions!

I think you meant Colin Masey's post in the blue place. Very interesting indeed. There is obviously some production variation (there always is; it's a fact of life), so that might explain it, as has been speculated there. Actually it may have been Roger from TP who suggested it. It will be interesting to see how it is resolved.

I think that the response from TP was more subtle along the lines of 'if you can't get it to work then it 'MUST' be faulty' as many people have heard the difference and bought one.

His comment about having some satusfied users from WYSAH was really subtle .....

Well, I had a home dem on Thursday and will be having a home loan sometime soon. It was interesting with a lot I liked but some things I missed.

My wife who had a blind listening test preferred one piece of music with it (The Beatles: Abbey Road) and one without it (John Martyn: The Church With One Bell) then very insightfully said "I suppose that it depends on what you are looking for in your system".... and that sums a lot of it up!

I know I said I wouldn't post on this thread but can I just confirm that the 'blue' place you refer to is the Linn Forum? Presumably the 'green' is the Naim forum? Is it not allowed to refer to other forums because such cryptic terminology is quite confusing?

Well it certainly confused Richard on this occasion :smt002

I suspect that it started from not being supposed to refer to the Linn Forum on the Naim Forum and developed from that - but happy to be corrected if wrong :D

Quite trivial terminology really but started elsewhere a long time ago.
Linn - Blue or Scottish forum in the Green Room
Naim - Green Room
Pink Fish - The Fishy Place
Hi Fi Wigwam - The Wam
There are others but life gets in the way.
It's all too complicated. 8) :smt023
