Hi Ray.
I know very little about the naim gear only having owned IBLs at one time but still loving the glass cups and balls.
Cartridge wise I can highly recommend Krystal I know of quite a few dynavector owners that took the plunge and no regrets.
Can't remember if the Nima has 3 holes for mounting but I'm sure to a particular dealer shouldn't be a problem.

I reckon there are enoigh holes. I notice lots of naim amps with the lp12 are linn amps that much different. At which point do you stop with naim ? LINN seem to stop at a reasonable point, is it because they cant seem point in keep adding on boxes.

Hi Ray,
It's a can of worms to open but I'm in the middle of it.
Linn amps are the ones I've had most of and been through the multi box preamp power amp and multi amp then one died linn weren't interested in repair as it was no longer a current item.
Up here there was no specialist repair service so I had to stick with linn as that's the only trade I could get for my dead stuff.
I love my Majik I Dynamik but now linn don't make any analogue preamps or an integrated any more when this dies I will probably go naim supernait or similar.
It's a pity you can't have a linn system now without all the digital trickery and streaming gimmicks I'm not interested I just like it as simple and minimal as poss it's all the music that matters and I've found to my cost that less is more.
Hope this helps. 8) :smt023

i want best ican get . Fair enough i will geta few quid for old stuff.. 252 scap 300 down to 4 boxes. 282 still napsc and hicap or can I use supercap for 282 and prefix. All confuses me a bit. I had 272 ,chucked into the chain as well. Someone suggested keeping the 200 and using 252 scap.

Jim, if/when your Majik I dies, I would recommend you taking a look at a Swedish made integrated amp; http://www.lejonklou.com/products/boazu/. Very good value for money imho. Fredrik Lejonklou share the same values as LINN used to have, developing his amps. Unfortunately I haven't heard the Supernait...
