Thanks, although I am not a Urika or Exakt man.

This looks ominous. :smt018
The current Urika will for the time being continue to exist alongside the new Urika II.
It would seem to be part of a philosophy to make Linn owners all become Exact converts .........

I know you don't know, but does that board fit inside the plinth? Looks like it to me.

Urika II makes sense to those with an Exakt system, but its going to pose problems to analogue people because either:-

1) Its Exakt output only

or

2) it has both analogue and Exakt outputs, so it has lots of stuff you are paying for and not needed.

James,
Reading between the lines and this quote.
The current Urika will for the time being continue to exist alongside the new Urika II.
Looks like analogue will be phased out and only the Exakt system will be supported.
Anyone wanting to keep it real should get the Urika while it lasts. 8) :smt023
Each Urika has only 1 option depending which one it is.

Lingo

Lingo has received a major upgrade to deliver even better sound from your vinyl, thanks to the addition of ground-breaking technology derived from the extraordinary Radikal power supply.

New Lingo incorporates a motor speed management system and uses digital processing technology to make the platter spin more accurately and more consistently. What’s more, it auto-calibrates the motor when the Sondek LP12 is powered on to ensure this accuracy and consistency every time. That’s crucial for music, of course: even the slightest speed variation affects the pitch, and a turntable that isn’t accurate is like a musical instrument that hasn’t been tuned properly.

With on-board circuitry that fits inside the deck and a new external slimline power supply which can be easily concealed, the new model is neater, more compact and cleverer than ever.

The source of the audio source, Lingo is the first improvement to make to your LP12, providing a clear upgrade from the internal Majik power supply and previous Lingo models.

As Hughie green says it's make your mind up time.
Analogue or Digital.
Lingo looks interesting too other blurb mentions a new motor as well.
I was wondering how long they could keep the old bean can going and meet safety legislations.
Best thing yet Radikal. :smt007
And I mean that most sincerely folks. :smt005

And now ( perhaps) from Naim and I wonder how this stacks up against a Urika II as a digital source?
