Jim - the cartridge bake off was to take a view about what is likely to be next, the Lyra Kleos SL is not ordered although I have asked for details on availability / lead in time as they are built to order.

The plinth on the other hand intrigues me. I love my Chris Harban Wenge. But is a metal plinth the way forward? I have not listened to a Stiletto. The Stratos potentially changes the dynamic to the extent that I want to explore the possibilities - but I do tend to take my time to decide as enjoy the journey 8)

As for what else next, I have heard rumours of a tone arm :smt023

That’s quite a shopping list, Chris.
Lyra Kleos SL
Aluminium plinth
New tone arm

Don’t forget the potential upgrade to Chord Music interconnect!

My understanding is that the bottom one third of the plinth incorporates an integrated bottom cover. My question is how you work on the deck?

Presumably without the bottom part attached - so long as it fits in the jig logically that creates a bit more room to work with 🤔

Any sign of it in Hi-Fi suppliers yet?

Quote from TigerPaw
Other than the fact that there's nothing in the bottom third of the deck, you just build the top part in the normal way then simply bolt the bottom section on. It's a super quick way to build an LP12 and everything is precisely aligned.
I'm sure this would have been one of the first things catered for.

Amplifier - Linn Majik I Integrated Dynamik.

Looking at pics of the plinth I assume it just sits in the LINN jig as usual, being supported in the jig by the flute in exactly the same way a 'normal' LP12 does. It'll just sit a wee bit lower than usual.
