I went to that link, but found this in the other vids below. This is a masterclass in cleaning vinyl records - using WD40!

Sorry for going off topic, but this is rather important and helpful information :D

With the demise of the Linn Forum I wonder where Linn 3rd party product manufacturers and resellers will go to promote their gear and generate followers?

But who has offered whom ? I don't think the Linn forum will stay off the air permanently, more a case of relaunching it with more rigorous admin, possibly by employing someone to moderate it. It must have generated huge sales for them in the past and they will soon notice the absence of tinkling pennies going into the piggy bank. Time will tell...................................

Sharing the database would pose lots of Personal Privacy/GDPR issues, so its sensible to not do that.

Having a 'read only' forum so that the archive of information is still available makes far more sense (but they won't be doing that either)

Back on topic.

Plinth upgrade of some sort was on my shortlist of potential upgrades for 2019.

However I've been able to arrange a home dem of a TA Stiletto/Skorpion with near-identical components to mine (Keel, Urika II, Kleos SL) for next weekend. :smt018

Kinda hoping I'm not going to like it for the obvious reasons - will report back. :smt020

If people like its cosmetics then buy what one likes.
Way back when LINN first commissioned the all in one machined plinth " they built 3 "
It was conclusively decided easily that this concept did nothing either than cosmetically appeal and the costs in production to retail sales prices was not economically viable.
Maybe there's more money in fashion these days.
Everyone should buy what they like its their money and there is a product for everyone. 8) :smt023

I hope you hate it as well, otherwise this kidney will have to go on eBay

I'm looking forward to your findings Vincent.
