Direct-Stream Digital (DSD) is the trademark name used by Sony and Philips for their system of digitally recreating audible signals for the Super Audio CD (SACD).

Sony and Philips..the only two companies who produced the "Perfect Sound".....and then improved on it. :smt023

Its above because i have had so many mails from people asking me what DSD is.
Lots of DACs now support DSD (Not Linn or Naim)
IMO and loads of others world wide think its stupid for companies not to offer DSD on there very expensive boxes.
Also most offer it but one has to spend hours converting albums before you can play them back in DSD.
If you have large music collections? This would take years to do.
Thats why i am so interested in hearing the new PS Audio DAC.
It does it on the fly.
You just click and play.
