Tonight At The London Palladium

Post by Mr Onion » Thu Jun 09, 2016 8:21 am

While flicking through the channels last night I stumbled across this. To slightly miss quote "Our Eli " in "The Show With Ten Legs" by Edward Braden
I've seen some rubbish in my time ...
If it was just a little bit [s]better[/s] less worse it would be crap. Why try to re invent "Statler and Waldorf" ?

On second thoughts, just WHY???

I've seen some rubbish in my time ...
I didn't see the whole show but we're maybe talking about the same thing.
Two duffers on stage playing hide the sausage with two frying pans each.
I was really dissapointed to see how pathetically easily thrilled and amused the audience was at such a trivial display. :smt009
If that's the general mass public voting majority were doomed. :smt013

I went to see Aladdin with Cliff and the Shads in the 60s at the Palladium.
My father wrote some gags for the old school back then comedian Joe Church.
He used to come on with a plank of wood and bit of chalk.
I don't know anyone that remembers Joe.

He is probably recreated by John Thomson in the Fast Show as Chester Drawers with his plank
" ouch sorry Arthur "
