I would say its more of a modern take of Norman Evans alter ego Fanny Fairbottom

I never liked Old Mother Riley, nor Les Dawson. I could appreciate the artistry without liking them

A cameraman I have worked with for years made a very good point, that alongside increasingly bizarre and 'loved by the critics' comedy shows, it is good to have a good solid working class comedy on our screens.

I have worked on several comedy shows, I didn't get 'Psychoville' at all, not people I enjoyed working with that much either, and really didn't want to watch it.

I did enjoy 'Armstrong and Miller', the same director as Mrs Brown's Boys - Ben Kellett, nice cast and crew.

I loved working on Mrs Brown's Boys, and grew to like the humour, but the loveliest bunch of people to work with, especially the cast, Brendan O'Carroll is so generous to all around him.

Jamie,
I good working class comedy is a very good way to put it. :smt023
I never got Psychoville.
I watched a few at the time mainly to see your work.
I didn't get there earlier League of Gentlemen shows either,Local shop for local people was the best thing to come from that imo.
I also don't get anything Noel Fielding has done. :smt017

I was going to add something, but realised I had posted it earlier. Sorry.

Noel Feilding is an odd one, I find him funny on panel shows and odd bit of his stand up, but he is so into kitsch that his shows just come over as cheap and tacky to me.
