Winging Sam

Post by dan steel » Sun Jan 22, 2017 12:54 pm

I watched the Palace v Everton game yesterday and Palace where very poor. Fat boy was trying to mask over how poor they where by winging over Everton's goal. First by saying they where down to 10 men Schlupp when down with cramp not an injury and was off the pitch when the game was in play he rolled back to try and get the game stopped. Next FS moaned that the goal was off side match of the day proved that Ward was playing Coleman on side. Everton's goalie had one shot to save all game and one header by a very poor Benteke hit the bar. Only fine saves by Hennessy spared Palace from an high scoring defeat. Unless he does something quick Palace are going down and FS will miss out on his £4 million bonus.
On a good note a great win by Swansea :smt023

I've always had a soft spot for Palace and hate whats going on there at the mo and feel for the fans.
But have to admit I loved seeing fat Sam's face yesterday. :smt036

Palace should have stuck with Pardew, he would have turned it around.

Same old BFS making excuses while slummacking on the bench chewing gum like there's no tomorrow.....total wanker !
I do however jointly blame the players especially the waste of space that is Benteke.

I'm a Palace fan for my sins and agree with this but the online noise had built to a crescendo and when there slight rumblings at the ground too SP called a halt to it. I am not sure half of them are real palace fans because it seems a national sport these days to troll the opposition but whatever turns you on I guess. The killer has been the 12 month stats which are pretty dire but when he was sacked we still clear of the relegation spots. Now after 7 league games under BFS we have drawn one and won one and we are deep in doo doos. Out of the Cup (which is probably a blessing) too.

What has been a surprise is that under Pardew the players were always playing for him, bust a gut to get back into games and TBH played good football in spells but not for 90 mins. We were scoring and falling foul of stupid individual errors and the odd freakishly good goals (think at least 3 of the goal of the season candidates are against us, including Carroll's). Under BFS the team looks battered and down and out with no guts or fight left in them.
Yesterday against Sunderland the crowd roared into 'your not fit to wear the shirt' which I don't think I have ever heard in over 50 years of support.

The dilemma now is that our easier games are coming up now (yesterday was one of them - gulp) and BFS is trying to shut the door at the back still and I can see us drawing at best with the teams we can beat and needing wins against top 6-8 teams.

Our only hope is that other teams are just as crap but it doesn't look likely. Genuinely surprised BFS hasn't been able to lift them since his arrival.

I hate seeing Palace going down like this after great work done there over the last few years. :smt013
I do however take great pleasure in watching the money grabbing greedy bastard Fat Sam fail. :smt023

I can relate to both halves of that TBH although for now I am 100% behind BFS on principle. A principle that sticks in my throat with this guy but hey that's what principles do.

It's quite unbelievable that BFS has taken the club with the worst record in 2017 and made it materially worse despite getting 100% backing from the owners etc on staff and players. We used to score goals for fun but leak even more. BFS has all but eradicated the scoring side of things but no other improvement. He mostly says the right things but I can't get this image of a deeply depressed Les Dawson out of mind when he is talking. Time to make the difference.

LFS (Sammy Lee) seems popular and effective behind the scenes but still we concede and lose points. :(

The other odd thing is that the online fanbase (which is large and been around from the early online days) seems to be shaking itself apart somehow and there seems to be fracture lines all over the place. This seems to be spreading into the stadium now which isn't going well. Fan base needs to get its act together.

Give credit where is due Sam looks like he's doing a good job. I was first to be critical of him after Palace's performance against Everton. But Sam has proved me wrong, and last nights result against Arsenal was spot on. Well done Sam and well done Palace, I hope you remain in the PL. 8)

Last nights game against Arsenal was awesome to watch at the time but even better when I watched it again this afternoon. It's easier when you aren't expecting Giroud to score 4 goals in the last 5 minutes (bane of our lives). TBH we controlled the game with and without the ball and watching it in the calm light of day showed that. I can just about remember the last time that we beat them when Salako scored twice at Highbury and Wrighty scored for them.

BFS seems to split fans everywhere but at the moment most are behind him of course. Difficult not to be after 5 wins in our last 6. There are not huge differences between the shape and selections other than the new transfers (after Pardew left) but those new players have all done very well (Sakho, Milivoyevic and Schlupp). We are on the verge of an injury meltdown again though but if we can nick 3 more points we make it very difficult for the rest. Fingers crossed.

Very sad times at Everton at the moment but it’s now got worse with the forecoming announcement of fat arse Sam. I’ve supported Everton through thick and thin good and bad. But now I fear we are heading out of the prem and the idea of bringing fat arse in brings Everton to a new low. From a club that had high aspirations at the start of the season we have stooped to a new low and are the laughing boys of the prem. The Liverpool supporters are having a field day and I don’t blame them. Koeman has completely destroyed Everton and should never have been appointed like all Dutch managers who come to the prem they can’t cut the mustard as Man Utd and Palace fans know.
Bad times at Everton a club I love and it hurts to see what the board are doing in appointing him. Panic is the word.
