Originally released 1960 - Giant Steps is an astonishing tenor-saxophone improvisation, and is one of Coltrane’s most influential albums all of time, Coltrane has produced an intensely soulful sound that has reached way beyond the jazz cognoscenti. Excellent album from the excellent Atlantic Mono Albums box set. 8)

I’ve just ordered another version of Giant Steps, which Richard Identified on the Naim forum: 2014 Optimal pressed Atlantic vinyl LP for £5.99 from WH Smiths. P&P is £2.49 if anyone else is interested.

That’s the stereo version I’ve got Clive, it’s not a bad copy but nowhere as good as this mono version. 8)
