Vinyl released 2020 - Keith and I supped a few pints with Robert Vincent when we seen him live at 81 Renshaw Street Liverpool, he was supporting Ethan Johns. He’s a great bloke and this is a great album, one of the best Americana albums released last year. Which isn’t bad as he’s a fellow scouser.

In this town you've got to own their pain

If you ever visit Liverpool 81 Renshaw is the place. You can have a pint, eat and buy records and listen to live bands. They have a great selection of new, indie and used albums and the ale and food is good.

No I didn’t take it Richard, i missed him as I was away on holiday. You regularly get artists dropping in to promote their albums and do a few acoustic songs off it. Here’s me and Keith with the great Sid Griffin from the Long Ryders and Coal Porters at his gig there. He was on with the excellent Peter Case.

That’s a great photograph of her on the sleeve, taken during a protest in San Francisco in 1984. The photograph was more closely cropped for subsequent releases. She has suffered recently because she chose to express her homophobic views publicly.

A great venue and night that Jim, Ethan John and Robert Vincent another we had there. A old school mate of mine (Clive, Jim you met when we went to the Prowsie christmas show) took Mike to meet Prowsie and McNabb at 81 Renshaw a few years back and the photo is the result. Another result was McNabb playing the Gathering in Llandudno.
