Is that a ‘new’ release? I’ve not seen it before.
Yes it’s a new release. I did have a bootleg of the show which was very poor quality to say the least which I ended up swapping for a Springsteen bootleg which was also poor.
I found this whilst surfing the t’internet last Saturday night either on Rolling Stone or Far Out websites. I checked Qobuz to pre-order and found it had been released the day before on the Friday (the 18th). According the the article on the site it was going to be released on the 28th, which celebrate his eightieth birthday and as far as I am aware that is still the release date in America. I am fairly impressed with the recording because some of his post death releases have been dire money making crap. It also has some excellent drumming from Mitch on it and makes you realise just why Jimi stuck with him. So if you haven’t bought it as a Hendrix fan I would highly recommend it.

Thanks. I have just found it on Qobuz, so I’ll stream it first since, as you say, many of the posthumous releases have been dire. :smt023
