[SOLD] Linn Kremlin Tuner

Post by JensA »

I am selling my Linn Kremlin Tuner.
The Kremlin probably needs no introduction: It’s the best - and most expensive - tuner Linn has ever built.
The Kremlin is in excellent condition with battery being replaced by Linn dealer last year.

Serial No is 2169.

Serial No 2169 is one of the last Kremlin series with the Slimline PSU:

Original Linn packaging with matching number is included in sale

Pricewise I am aiming for 500 Euro.

Tempting. I recall Ivor T. saying "If you find a Kremlin on the used market, buy it." My problem is I'm pretty far from Vancouver broadcast antennae so the signal comes in pretty weak. At least on my Quad FM4 it's weak.

Edit: I just realized I don't even know if it would work in North America as I'm not sure of the frequency bands.

Analogue Switch off delayed until 2032.
The tuner might last that long if looked after. :smt023

Thank you!

Having thought about all this a bit more, I do recall my family moving from Germany to the USA back in 1966. We brought our Telefunken console stereo and the radio part worked fine at the new home. The second range is for Japan, and possibly other countries.

How long will I last? :D

To me, the attraction of FM broadcast is hearing a live in-studio music performance. Absolutely beautiful. I first heard such with a Creek tuner and old Linn LK system. That's when I figured that timing is very important to accurate music reproduction.

I have a mild interest. But I think at your asking price, it will sell pretty quickly. In the meantime, I'm exploring the local radio stations. :D

Yes, the T40. What a musical tuner that was. I think better than the Quad FM4 that I replaced it with. I only swapped because of the LK width of the Quad fitting in the rack.

I don‘t think the Kremlin was sold with a remote.
However, it works with the Linn remotes of same vintage, would have to check if it works with the present generation.

The Linn Kremlin manual doesn‘t show any remote as being supplied with the Kremlin which made sense as allmost all Buyers had a linn preamp which came with a remote.

Many apologies, I was reviewing some settings and must have accidentally removed the ability to edit. All should be OK now (but please let me know if it isn't)
