Linn Karik CD to Akurate Kontrol

Hi,
I have the Karik CD with SPDIF output and would like to use it as a transport to Akurate Kontrol (<November 2010).
What cable do i need? Does Linn offer such cables?
Whether this will be a sound improvement?

I assume you have the Karik version which only has a SPDIF electrical output on a BNC connector. (Older kariks also have optical toslink output)

You could either get a small adapter to change the BNC on the back to an RCA
That would be a BNC plug (male) to RCA socket (female) adapter and use a standard RCA to RCA digital cable

Alternatively you could get a BNC to RCA cable that has BNC female plug on one end and a RCA male on the other.

75 Ohm is the recommended impedance in both cases.

They should be cheap enough to just try it to see if it improves the sound.

There used to be a Linn Black digital cable, maybe your Linn dealer has one properly terminated?

Or as suggested by @d_pete you could use a Canare BNC to RCA adapter and Linn Silver or Black
