That's a lovely minimal boxes system. Where have you hidden the Lingo 4?

Lingo 4 is down the far side of the Linto, bottom shelf out of sight, a benefit of its form v my old Lingo 2.

Ian_km wrote: Tue Apr 15, 2025 7:36 pm Well, I’ve eventually joined the Kudos club, with a pair of ex-dem Titan 505s, replacing my 30 year old Keilidhs! Remaining active through Selekt Edition amp carts and Organik, which was a simple change in Linn account, I decided that the Linn 150s with another cart/Organik was too much £ v the Kudos ex-dem 2 way solution (half the price). Very happy so far with the change, initially much tighter soundstage and plenty of punch.

Maybe switch to Kudos cables to replace my chunky Linn K400 soon I think.

Welcome to the club!
Yes, get some KS-1. I believe it's the same as the speaker internals. And in white they look great 👍

Since last week I am a proud owner of a pair Kudos Super 20A

I am curious what other Kudos users are using as spikes etc.

I have a concrete floor with laminate and thinking of buying the Track Audio Isolation Cups with Delrin.
But I'm reading mixed reviews and I am now lost :lol:

So what would be the best for my situation?

I've always used the Linn Skeets under the spikes. I have the standard Track Audio spikes supplied with the Kudos (or at least that's what my dealer supplied). They are on brick/marble, so don't think the laminate you have on concrete is much different.

Thanks for your reply, maybe you are right and I can use solid spike shoes, so not with the delrin isolation.

I have Kudos S20A's and I have wood flooring on top of a concrete floor. I just have the spikes going into stainless steel disc floor protectors. This works well and costs very little. Welcome to the Kudos Club.

Presently using T606 on carpet / underlay on concrete floor, do using spikes.

But I’ve just had the same conversation with Derek from Kudos who advised that the Track Audio Spike Shoes are a perfect fit for the supplied spikes.

Use the Delrin insert on laminate flooring and the stainless steel insert on ceramic tile flooring.

Hope this helps

Thanks, I yesterday I have mounted the spikes and put a piece of carpet under the S20A's and this is noticeable better than a piece of carton :lol: what was under the S20A's before.

Would like to both test Track Audio spike shoes with and without delrin, but they are quite expensive and not easy to sell.

Thanks for the welcome :smt007 , I live in the Netherlands and Kudos is here not well known.

My laminate is very sturdy and I have a good subfloor, I have the feeling that without Delrin will be better.
Of course it is best to try both.

In the UK you can purchase these over the net and then send them back if you didn't like them. Not sure if that applies to where you are.

I use my kudos X3s with the spikes into the heads of pozidrive screws through carpet into wooden floor.
But in your situation of finished stone or good laminate I’d use Linn Skeets or Naim chips to sit on top.
I’d not be interested in all the fangled fancy sliders and decouplers etc.
Too many variables to change the signature of the speakers. :smt023
Rigid and stable is the answer not wobbly to blur the image. :smt018

If you do choose Naim Chips, I’d recommend you buy them from Peter. He’s selling them at £8.68 each, which I was assured by Wayne is the correct price. Other sellers are still trying to sell them at more than double that price.

The speaker are now rigid and stable, the sound improved. Now much 'tighter' in all aspects.

I thinking about to order the Track Audio Spike Shoes without delrin.

The winner for you would be Linn Skeets or Naim Chips.
The improvement you got with what you have done will be fine tuned as the tip of your spike although doing the best it can is still on very slightly less solid carpet cushion under the tip of the spike.
This will mark your floor through point compression.
Simple is best Skeets or Chips.
My X3s are black too. :smt007

A friend (lives down the road) of mine just picked up a brand new pair of Oak 707’s and I think I’m more excited about them than he is. He’s driving them passive at the moment with a selekt edition dual mono Organik and two Benchmark ahb2 amplifiers in bridged mono mode.

There are no kudos dealers around the northeast in the US so i’ll finally get to hear what the sound is all about.

I’ll be arranging two amp modules for him (unfortunately I’ve sold my katalyst dacs) so we’ll use just the standard dacs to hear them in Exakt aktiv.

We’ll also try a Lejonklou tundra with them in passive

Did I mention I was excited about hearing them?

Hi Zee
I am curious bout your further impressions of the Kudos 707s.
2 Benchmarks will be able to give them endless power, interesting partnership.
I know 606s and 707s, I own 808s which I paired with a Tundra Stereo -> great combo.
But the 808 is the easiest Titan to drive and it will be interesting to hear what a Tundra can do with 707s…
I‘ll stay tuned :)

@Zee9 ,
I have no crystal ball but see a good chance that you will eventually own the 707s presently "stored down the road" :D
I have never heard any other Kudos speakers than my 808s but they must be great as well

@Kampak
All going well I hope to be able to compare following 808 setups within the next couple of weeks

NG KSH with Klimax Exaktbox Organic and Kudos 808

b) passive (Klimax Exaktbox pass through mode) with Lejonklou Tundra Stereo

Okay, I didn't do it after all. Laminate on a wooden floor is my situation.

So I pressed the laminate in the speaker area with some small screws on the Floor to make it more solid.
Brutal enough.
After that I made my own spikes, with socket screws and kind of soft top end.
