Mmm... maybe, although on balance I think I prefer mine. Chris used to have a beautiful example before he was seduced by the dark side.

Mike.
Great picture I didn't realise you'd had an Ittok previously as your kore has been drilled out for the armrest.
I was sorry to hear you think your Krystal has lost its sparkle they sound great when on song unfortunately two faulties one after another were the kiss of death for that cartridge for me.
The obvious replacement at a similar price would be Lyra Delos but to make use of some sort of trade in then a second time lucky or an upgrade might be the answer.
What age is in the serial number range is your Krystal.
I had my Troika for twenty odd years and wouldn't dare accept the trivial short life of the more modern replacements. :smt018

Well spotted Jim
Had my Ittok for years and it is a brilliant arm but the SE is a defo step up.
Bought the Krystal ex dem from a reputable dealer and without removing it I can’t say for sure the number but the box has 376 Krystal B on it.
Spoken to Peter and he is kindly supplying some green paper just to make sure it doesn’t just need a good clean.
Failing that I may jump to an XX2/2.
Also I’ll post a piccy of the full system including a shot of the new speakers for you to have a guess at.

Yes I understand all that but this is an rd11 s, so not the one with the same looks as it’s brethren. Inner and outer platter not interchangeable, not an arm board as such and a strange clutch mechanism to boot.

On the biscuit tin was a Mission 774 LC in fact it's the very same as the new LINN Majik arm.
It was Jelco clone too AT31e MC cart.
Then I went Heybrook TT2 with big brother Mission 774 with the 31e.
Then LP12 with the mission arm and 31e
Then Ittok and Asaka
The list goes on.
