I bought it because i got so fed up with throwing fresh bread and rolls away.
I keep a couple of sliced white loafs in the freezer for everyday toast and bake a new loaf when i know its going to get eaten.
No wastage.
Thanks for the middle aged bit.
I hit 62 in a few hours time

My parents had one, and I hated it.
We kneed bread in a Kenwood Chef, let it rise naturally and then bake in an old fashioned oven.

I've just emptied a lovely crusty Garlic Basil and sun dried tomato loaf out of my Panasonic machine.Wenge1 wrote:.Jazz Club wrote:Adam,Wenge1 wrote:.Jazz Club wrote:I bought a Stainless Steel Panasonic early last year and its still used every week.

Re: Anyone Using A Bread Making Machine?
Ah the Bread maker, yet another cannot live without must have until the novelty wears off and then it ends up in the big cupboard where the Dyson goes along with ice cream maker, yogurt maker, food blender, nutribullet etc.…….
In its early days (when it still got used) my other half decided to use the timer in order to ‘wake up to the smell of a freshly baked loaf’. I went to bed and let her get on with it putting in the ingredients etc. Little did I know the she decided for some absolutely bizarre reason to place this thing on a wooden chopping board on top of the gas hob. To this day I am waiting for a valid reason to do this.
Anyway, all was well until about 4am when the thing kicks into life and starts mixing the ingredients. As soon as things start to come together this stainless steel bin starts rocking like it’s in an earthquake. The gas hob, as you can imagine, joined in this little party along with the chopping board until the whole lot is making enough noise to wake Bob Hope. Thinking some scrote is trying to break in I leap (in my head at least) out of bed and run down stairs. Still dazed and half asleep I try and work out where this cacophony is coming from ready to murder someone only to be confronted by a white loaf in the making. I was not best pleased!

Re: Anyone Using A Bread Making Machine?
I bought my Panasonic April 2015 and there is novelty to wear off.
It gets used.
I have a full range stainless steel cooker with double electric fan ovens and five gas hobs.
I have actually used my Panasonic on top of a very old half inch wooden chopping board sitting on the hobs.
It didn't move at all.
It doesn't shake rattle and roll or move about at all.
I also have a cordless re-chargable Dyson.
Brilliant bit of kit.

As a footnote.
Hopefully now we wont have to put up with that pid EU ruling that came into force last year or the year before? on the power of vacuum cleaners.
