Whisky/Whiskey
Whats your favourite water of life?
I love Penderyn made in Wales. Beautiful ff, bottled when the distiller says its ready, lots of special 'single cask' issues when the distiller thinks they are worth the effort.
You can get them in Specialist shops, some supermarkets, by post or at the distillery (which is well worth it, especially if you would like to have a taste of neat 100% straight from the still)

Re: Whisky/Whiskey
James,
I will never understand how anyone can drink Whiskey for pleasure?
I've tried a small glass of many makes over the years,Some costing obscene amounts of money and they all taste the same to me.
I have a mate that has a special fridge just to keep his large collection of very expensive bottles of whisky in at a optimum temperature.

Re: Whisky/Whiskey
Chilled?? Room temperature always maybe with a splash of water to release the flavour.
I must admit that some whisky's are awful. Raw, harsh and no subtlety. Mrs O only likes Oban (though her tipple is Gin. Penderyn make a lovely Gin too)

Its not a fridge as we know it, its got a glass door and looks like one.
Re: Whisky/Whiskey
James,
Has Mrs Onion ever tried Bombay Gin?
Its meant to be drunk with water.
Its really nice when sitting down.
Its only when you go to stand up you notice you have no legs
