Got a creative bug up my bum...wondered what would happen if I fired a 670 nm wavelength (Red) 5 mW 3R LASER beam at the diamond whilst I played a record?

This was the money shot...looks like the nylon screw is lighting up the record; in reality the beam is reflecting back from the platter and up to the nylon screw. My mat has little holes in it (like a honeycomb) and the record is translucent, so the beam went through to the LP12's platter and reflected back.
My creativity has been satisfied. :smt007
But now I've scared myself...maybe man should not delve into things he doth not understand. :o  :o  :o

I sort of guessed it must have been a Laser. I'm more impressed each time I look at it.

Thanks, just dumb luck on my part that it made a pretty photo.

But it's fun to try something that you're not sure how it's going to turn out...
and get a surprising result! xss19

I just had to take this. Nothing special about the photo at all but I just had to take one of some bunting I saw in France last year near Bergerac, France. They do know how to decorate a house don't they?

I have owned and used Photoshop for many years.
Find it just too expensive, now my wife has left university.
Have found Affinity a great substitute. Used with Bridge (which is free) it is superb. Takes a bit of learning to fly it.
But only £48 - one off payment.

I use ACDSee, loads cheaper than PS but still with most of its features (including RAW) Buy the home pack which gives you 4 full programs each of which can be used on 3 different computers.

Agree Don, Affinity is an amazing product and ridiculous value compared to the bigger names. Haven't used it a lot lately but should probably set some time aside to get right into it because it has real depth to it. I have used Serif products (the developer/seller) for years and they have always had good value and feature rich stuff. Affinity has seen them expose the bigger names pricing for what it is and good luck to them.

Well not exactly my photo skills, but didn’t know where else to post them. These magical autochromes were taken 107 years ago at Lulworth Cove in Dorset, in August 1913 - less than a year before The Great War. They were taken by Lieutenant Colonel Mervyn O’Gorman and show the young Christina Bevan (1897-1981). They are original colour & not colourised.

Really amazing photos, I didn’t realise how old they were or how good the quality was possible then. Although probably cost a lot of money and time developing.

Not that great TBH, but a couple of snaps taken with my Panasonic DC-TZ90 compact camera (which is a pretty good camera for the price) as I didn't have time to grab the D SLR

I think the camera coped pretty will with the fast moving subject. I would have preferred a sharper pic, but beggars cant be choosers

Panasonic DC-TZ90, in camera metering, no colour tweaks just horizon straightened and cropped.
