Ahh yes, that finish was discontinued because of production issues but was the finish on the pair I demoed and would have got if Icould. They were bought by a fellow kabineer, lucky duck!

This may sound mad but...
The Super20s can be run either passive, using the bottom connectors, or Exakt using the top ones. This bypasses the crossover. No internal adjustment is necessary, unlike my old 140s.All well and good.

First question is, when run passive the top ones are shown in the wiring guide connected to another set of connectors below them using little metal hoops. Why? What is the second row connected to? Is this really necessary?

Second question is the mad one and depends on the answer to the first. Can both be connected at the same time? ie. can they be run active in one system, and passive in another? Not at the same time/concurrently but eg. stereo system actively, AV system passively?

The passive crossover is physically between the passive input and the passive outputs, so the links connect the crossover outputs to the drive units. Unplug the links and you can then actively connect the amplifiers directly to the drive units. Used passively without the links will result in no sound.

Only if you want lots of fireworks and smoke from the amplifiers and speakers

Right, thanks. Should have seen Passive Outputs!
It was just a passing fancy to find a way of getting my left speaker further out from the side wall. Back to the drawing board. Was thinking a pair of b&w m1s, nice and small, but the stands foot is still pretty wide.

Perhaps you could put some silicone bungs in the unused sockets to prevent accidental use.

Hi James,

Have you now upgraded your S20 to S20A spec? If so, do you know if there are any material differences other than the rear panel offering the ability to bypass the crossover? Thanks.

Seen a couple of mentions that the Kudos 20a and 10a have been retired? Do we know if Kudos has any plans to refresh them or are they just focusing on the Titan's now?

Looking at the new Linn 119 and 150 the Kudos stuff just looks more appealing to me now. Specifically as replacements for my M140 and Katan's.
