What sort of money does that command?
Must say I've never liked the look of the base plate, bit fussy I reckon but I guess many will like it.

A masterclass in packaging there. The arm itself is probably easily worth twice what Roger is selling it for. In a straight A/B comparison against the Ekos SE , many people will prefer the surefooted musically fluid sound of this arm, disregarding the price difference.
When that is brought into the equation, its a no brainer. Who on earth is going to buy an Akito now ?
At its price it must represent one of hifi's biggest bargains..........................
Can anyone comment on how it sounds? I have a Keel for Linn tonearm but I have an Itokk II and don't want to drill a hole for the arm support. SO I 've been looking for an Ekos 2 (SE is just too much $). The Javelin though sure looks like a good value. Any idea how it and an Ekos 2 would compare?

Hi the Javelin is very well thought out and constructed with great attention to detail.
There are a few members on here the that know the manufacturer personally and were treated to pre production listening tests and very favourably it was received.
It's a different type of arm from the LINN ones in that it is a unipivot whereas the LINN arms are fixed gimbal bearings.
But really a listen is the best idea as owners of a particular type might prefer that anyway but lots of scope for discussion if they join in.
Hope this helps.

I see the Javelin for Linn is shown on the Cymbiosis site, I'm guessing this is the Keel compatible version. Has anyone tried it?
As far as I am aware a Linn Keel compatible Javelin was not produced. The Aro Keel version was supposed to come first, but has yet to appear - I was really looking forward to it.

Any help here finding a Javelin to buy? I'm in the US. As I now have the cash to replace my Roksan Nima. Bine trying to get a hold of Roger at TP with no luck. I'm just asking around if anyone can help me find one. Thanks

I guess your best bet would be to speak to Peter Swain at Cymbiosis. However, I’d be very surprised if you managed to find one as I imagine there were somewhat fewer Javelins produced than Aros, of which there are around 1,200. Hence, you’d stand a better chance of finding an Aro.

Roger must have turned out about a dozen including this run of 10.
I suspect there are Kabin members that have won a watch.
