I'm also one from the now defunct Linn forum.
I'm a 61 years old Finn.
Like many others, I'm one of those who got blinded on CDs arrival. I swapped all my vinyls to CDs with heavy losses.
After 25 years of solely CDs, I found LPs again.
I bought a Project Perspex 6 turntable which wasn't bad. I quite liked it, but while changing a cartridge, I managed, in my clumsiness, to break one of the tonearm wires. As I don't have a soldering iron or the necessary skills to repair the wire, I had two choices: either send the table to be repaired or buy a another turntable. I chose the latter one and gave the Perspex in exchange for new Linn Sondek Akurate LP12.
My system consists of LP12, EAR Yoshino MC4 step up, EAR 834P RIAA, EAR 868L pre with ELAC Air-X 403 active speakers.
Also in lesser use I have Yamaha CD-S 2100 CD-player and Sony HAP-Z1ES HDD-player.
I mostly listen via speakers, but I own 7 pairs of Headphones (Sennheiser HD800, Audeze LDC-2, Beyerdynamic DT-880, Hifiman H400i etc.).
As headphone amplifier I use Quad PA-One.
When I rediscovered vinyl some 3 years ago, I had about 30 old LP's from way back in the 70's. Now I have a collection of 500 LP's of which 5 are in the post office waiting to be picked up.
My music taste is very much classic rock and blues (The Rolling Stones, The Allman Brothers Band, Hendrix, Ten Years After etc.).
So with this I hope to be a part of this great forum!
