A Christmas Carol

Post by Mr Onion »

No, not that version. Nor that one.

Last Sunday night on BBC4 @ 2200 there was the most fantastic new take on this familiar story. Its a film version of Simon Callows one man show and it was just fantastic. (in case you are wondering why its taken me 2 days to type this we only watched it last night via the PVR)

What can I say? The acting was impeccable (well, with Simon Callow what else would it be?) The set was perfect, and wonderfully under dressed. Lighting and camerawork were first class and the best I have seen for years.

Its on the iPlayer for the next 27 days but I can not find a repeat on 'real telly'. There should be.

Watch it, you won't be disappointed.
James

Thanks James,
I shall dig that out for a watch.
Simon Callow is a genius full of personality and rapid fire wit I first was made aware of him when he did the old British sitcom Chance In A Million. 8) :smt023
