Registering and cookies
Hello, I'm glad to have found this forum I have been wondering where everyone from the old Linn forum had gone.
One problem I had in getting logged into the forum for the first time is that when I click the Login button at the top right (next to the clock) it gives this message:
Cookie Acceptance Required
You must accept the Cookie Policy of HiFi Kabin before you can either register on this site or, if you are already registered, before you can login to the site.
But there isnt any tickbox or anything to press so you are just ck.
Luckily I found a second login option at the bottom of the home page which does work but I'll bet many new people won't find/notice that.

Re: Registering and cookies
Hi, glad you finally got in OK. Yes that cookie information notice does tent to hide at the top of the browser. I am working on a solution to make it clearer but like with all things computer it has a mind of its own.
By the way, you can blame the EU and the government for that, personally I'd rather do without it.

You only need to display a cookie warning if the website is hosting targetted advertising or if you are using tracking code like Google analytics.
in Google Adsense targetting can be turned off for european visitors, though the option is very hidden.
Cookies that are purely functional do not need a warning/acceptance, this is something the EU took a long time to clarify so there are now a lot of websites with cookie warnings that don't actually need them.

Yes, I know about that but as we have Google Search on here its a bit of a grey area, so better safe than sorry
