Documentary that reveals the secret story behind one of the greatest intellectual feats of World War II, a feat that gave birth to the digital age. In 1943, a 24-year-old maths student and a GPO engineer combined to hack into Hitler's personal super-code machine - not Enigma but an even tougher system, which he called his 'secrets writer'. Their break turned the Battle of Kursk, powered the D-day landings and orchestrated the end of the conflict in Europe. But it was also to be used during the Cold War - which meant both men's achievements were hushed up and never officially recognised.
Tommy Flowers is my Hero. He designed the worlds first Semi Programmable computer with no design spec, and everything he came up with is still in use today. Total Genius.

I knew about the Lorenz machine and Tunny, but then I've spent some time wandering around Bletchley Park.
Linn LP12 / Karousel / Keel / Radikal / Trampolin II / Ekos / Krystal / Silver T-Kable / Collaro Audio mat / Linto / Kairn III / 2x Linn 2250s / Bi-amping Celestion 600 Si on K400 / Original Foundation speaker stands. Also Karik III / Numerik, and Kremlin. All sitting on Söund Örganisatiön shelves (2) and tables (4). Okki Nokki RCM.
We have visited BP too, anyone with the slightest interest in Maths, computing, code breaking or WW2 should. I LOVE the maths, and the fact that the whole layout and working operation of Lorenz was known by pure deduction a full two years before one was even seen.
Ordinary men and women doing the seemingly impossible.
