Dear Kabin members,

I discovered the Kabin when I was researching poyential upgrades to my LP12. The Kabin gave me a good grounding in recent LP12 upgrades. The upgrades have now happened courtesy of a well known 'Fettler' in Rearsby UK, with great service, and great advice in accommodating my thoughts & aspirations, coupled with a really different way of approaching my wants.

Joining a forum which mixes audiophile interest with sharing of music knowledge, new idea's , and personal views on Albums etc is of interest too.

I'm sort of one my 3rd LP12, interesting stories in here, the latest one is in fact new , replacing a 1983 one with Cirkus. Peter recommend transplanting arm , cartridge and Lingo to a new LP12 as also due to WAF pressure I wanted? the fluted aframosa 'retired.'.

So I followed his advice and did this, and now have a new latest spec LP12 with Karousel , oak plinth for the wife, for a reasonable investment. Happy days.

The improvement is significant. Not a typical upgrade path.

My musical interest is late 60s, onwards rock and progressive rock, I have played keyboards semi professionally in an Eighties Cover band for the last 15 years, Covid has pretty well killed live music unfortunately., so I have decided to call this a day..

My record collection runs to 1500+ lps , crate digging is part of my musical hobby, which also neccesitates the need for a RCM too.

Hey welcome, Adrian. Your story above closes the circle as I saw your new LP12 in a box at Cymbiosis when I was there a couple of weeks back and Peter was telling me about his upgrade idea which gave you a new LP12 AND saved you money. Great result!
