Thanks for your good wishes chaps. It’s really not too bad, I am mobile pretty much as normal, I’m just aware of the scar (which is very sensitive) and have to think before I do anything.

James, luckily I don’t think I have any 200g albums, but I will take your advice just in case. Of course box sets could be another issue!

Not really an impulse buy, Mikael, just a bit sooner than I’d planned. I have lived with my Naim NBLs for 20 years and I had been thinking about changing them before being forced to. The price of Kudos speakers is soon to increase by, I understand, an average of 14%, so it was too good an opportunity to miss.

Image I’m guessing these are the ones, along with Radikal 2 and speaker cables (from Cymbiosis Facebook page)…

Indeed they are! Peter forgot to leave the speaker cables, which I was going to compare with my current SuperLumina cables. Funnily enough though, I can’t really imagine it could get any better. Peter did take a picture of the finished installation too, which he was going to put on the Cymbiosis Facebook page.

Hi all.
Had a visit yesterday from Peter & Alison.
Radikal 2 kit installed and operational.
Great time watching the whirlwind in action I forgot most of the things I was going to talk about.
What it brings is hard to describe really it's definitely more lively and sparkly more musical and has more defined stop start to the sound less blurred and more defined.
Very punchy and sharp.
Feels much better with the motor held in with metal fixings now.
To be honest it's been a while since I've given the deck a decent session as there have been many things happening here recently so not been too focussed on an in-depth listen more been using CD etc for convenience.
If there is an imminent upgrade announced I kind of loose interest until it's up to date and working at its " best "
So for now the deck will be getting a bit more spin.
Let's see what the 50th anniversary will bring. :smt017
Many thanks again for Peter doing the travelling rounds and how lucky are we ? :smt023
