I reckon the Krystal and Kandid will be on the skids.
Kendo and Exstatik will be from the same supplier.
Koil is just a tarted up old Audio Technica like they used to do with K5/K9 & K18.
Worst Hi Fi component I've ever had in over 45+ years was my two faulty Krystal's
Akito has been grossly overrated and overpriced for many years.

My Krystal (recommended and fitted by Peter at Cymbiosis) has been most excellent from the get go. It sounds very Troika like but better.
Linn LP12 / Karousel / Keel / Radikal / Trampolin II / Ekos / Krystal / Silver T-Kable / Collaro Audio mat / Linto / Kairn III / 2x Linn 2250s / Bi-amping Celestion 600 Si on K400 / Original Foundation speaker stands. Also Karik III / Numerik, and Kremlin. All sitting on Söund Örganisatiön shelves (2) and tables (4). Okki Nokki RCM.

Hi Debs Peter supplied and fitted both my duds he spotted the fault in the first one when he installed it in my house.
He was as you can imagine very helpful at sorting things out after the second one.
I've got a Kandid now.
Linn support - poor
Peter support - Superb

Peter fitted mine sometime in 2019 (along with a Keel) so it was obviously a lot younger model than your two duds. I couldn't stretch to a Kandid, but I really like my Krystal because of its Troika like qualities (I was always a lover of the 'Supex Sound' having gone SM100 MM to Asaka to Troika).
I have no experience of Linn aftermarket service, but I agree with you that Peter is superb. He is fitting my LP12 with a Karousel next week.
I wouldn't let anyone else near my LP12!

Hi Debs
Be prepared for a treat the Karousel is superb it's a new heart in the machine.
Yes having my Troika for a good many years it seemed like the blessing I was waiting for it ticked all the boxes and a three point mount but it seems I wasn't to have.
I bit the bullet in frustration as well a consolation I'm not sure if I'll fork out like that again with my getting older ears.

+1 for the krystal, I really like it and am obviously like Deb in that we have perfect examples, not sure if we are lucky or others have been unlucky as I know there was a real saga surrounding it at the time.
Like others have said, I think it is living on borrowed time, thing is what would I get next, don’t think I’ll go down the Linn route as the new offerings are clearly made by others!.
Lyra and Dynavector will be on the short list and there won’t be any Linn added tax.
As you were.
Lp12, Ekos se, radikal, kore, Karousel ,Krystal, Urika1,
and Mr Swains fairy dust.
Mark Levinson no 432, Nac82, supercap plus other Naim black and olive.

Hi Mike
They all have their added tax.
Linn have done the same with three cartridges from AT previously K5/K9 & K18
Having had my Kandid now from the Lyra stable I don't think at Krystal prices I'd be looking far from the Lyra Delos.

Lyra Delos - Fab cart for the money IMHO - It is sensitive to anything but the best of setting up but since you know who would be doing that, no problem there ......
LP12 - Klimax Radikal 2/Urika, Harban Plinth, Karousel, Keel, Karmen, Ekos SE, Skale, Lyra Atlas
CD Players - Roksan Caspian M2 CD Player, dCS Puccini CD Player + Scarlatti Master Clock
Amps - KK/1(D), Klimax Twin (D)
Speakers - Kudos S20 A's in Santos Rosewood
Cables - Linn Silver RCA & K200 speaker cable
.
Is that not a kontrapunkt……
It is a serious dilemma, one thinks that when I see Peter for the long overdue Karousel fitting I may try and get an audition for some alternative cartridges, although when you get to a certain stage in this hifi malarkey it never comes cheap.
Strangely enough I think as I get older, music has become much more important to me and as the coyote says “ you can’t take it with you”.
