Kazoo says Can't find the DSM on the Network

You mean there's more to HiFi than a LP12?

Kazoo says Can't find the DSM on the Network

Post by grimreaper46 »

Wonder if anyone has had this. Occasionally Kazoo says "No Device on the Network" (Same in Kinsky). Usually, with a bit of swearing I get up turn the DSM off and back on and everything is fine. But now It still says No Device found. What checks can I do?

I have found if I put in the IP addy in Google (192.168.1.191 in my case) it comes up with the DSM page. I then do a reboot then it works perfect. Don't know why sometimes Kazoo sees the correct IP address and other times doesn't.

It’s a problem I come across occasionally out of the blue, especially if I switch from using my iPad to laptop or vice versa. I usually trying switching off the controller ie laptop or iPad. Like you sometimes it has also meant turning off the DS. My system is very stable but as you describe out of the blue it happens. I have noticed that it doesn’t happen as often lately as I have started turning the system off for days when we are busy or going away. I guess it does it good to shut the system down now and again it acts like a reset and I also unplug and re plug the connectors.
