Naim new products in 2023

Apparently Naim announcement expected today, Wednesday 4th January 2023, at 2pm GMT.

Should be interesting, to me at least, whatever it is although I am currently not looking to upgrade any of my Naim kit only my LP12.

So far I’ve seen images of a new streaming preamp, a power supply (for said streamer) and a remodelled NAP250. They are being advertised by Billy Vee.

Through-hole components reducing microphonies picked up via the circuit board fluctuations.

while LINN make a big point about Surface Mounting.

Lurking about suggests that all three boxes cost £5700 each.
No purchase interest here.

I assume the central block is a heat sink (with a fan?) and that the power transistors are connected to it. I don’t see anything bolted to the left and right heat sinks, suggesting that these are for visual appearance only. If so, form no longer follows function in Salisbury.

Thats how I read the layout as well Clive

Perhaps the fins are there to take the heat away from those bits bolted directly to the case? (Regulators and rectifiers)

Not entirely sure who owns Naim these days but I think they can see pound signs.
200 series, does that mean there is another two steps in the hierarchy, if so, I can only imagine the price.
Wonder if that release will coincide with the Linn 50th surprise?

The system of 3 boxes on a Fraim looks pretty neat to me and I like the look. Not that I am in the market for such but I wonder when they will revamp the 500 series?

I agree the 250 and 300 look good in the rack, but I am still not 100% sure of the 222

Yeah, the 222 dial is a bit off putting but may look better ‘in the flesh’.

I understand that The Sound Org(York) has been warming up their demo set of the 222 et. al. so maybe I will pop in sometime soon to have a look and a listen.
