A somewhat cold day, we took care all the way, the traffic was its usual madness
The A46 was up to its usual tricks, but we still arrived on time(ish)
Rearsby's easy to find if you have it in mind
And the wheels went around
Don't you recall the thrill of it all, as we walked on through the door way
Wayne emptied the car, although it wasn't that far
he carried it all inside for us
Mrs O and me had a nice cup of tea as Peter planned his magic
Drifting away we could have listened all day
And the LP12's went around
The Radikal was first to have everything checked
the board was removed in a jiffy
the replacement went in
without any din
And the LP12's went around
Then Peter started to delve inside the LP12
to remove the motor and cables
He plugged it all in
and I heard the music begin
and MY LP12 went around
(a long way) After Fiddlers Dram
Yes, today we went to Cymbiosis to get the Rad 2 fitted. A nice trip, for a change, and the best time we have ever made, just under an hour door to door each way.
The new board is very impressive with the processor chip seemingly not that much smaller than than that on the PC tower I built last year. Peter (as always) talked through the new parts as he was fitting them, and explained the differences in the LED behaviour between the two.
Checked and rechecked the bounce as he always does, examined the DV XX (pronounced excellent) and changed the belt as the old one was a bit stiff (ooer missis) and it was ready for the dem room.
All I can say is

Right from the off I was gobsmacked with a massive stupid grin. At the price its a bargain for what it gives. I'm too tired to re assemble it tonight so I have it all to look forward to tomorrow.
Thanks to Peter, Wayne, Phil and Alison as well as Mrs O for doing the driving
