Ok, I added another strip of the black tape provided to make it wider.

It’s now calibrating at 45.

Good it now works but the strip you’ve been provided with doesn’t look right it should be able to make a square like the one in the above picture.
Probably a photo effect but your platter doesn’t seem to have the same contour as in the above picture.

This was the only tape the dealer provided in the kit. I didn’t think to double it up until I saw your photos.

Yes, thank you all for the assistance. The LP12 is still far from optimized, but I can start to enjoy listening on it now, and that’s the first step.

I’ll be continuing the journey.

Great that you’ve got it going and I’m sure it’s been a learning curve.
As you get more interested in the format you’ll pick up little tips that improve things and make you think about the setup.
You’ve done very well if you don’t have any if the special tools or a jig.
I’m not sure how stripped down it all was when you got it.
One thing for sure is that the Cymbiosis setup guides are a great help especially where there might not be a local dealer.
