Moth

Post by Mr Onion »

Since Mike Harris' death at the start of the year the business has been in limbo. The family have now decided to retire his business and hand over the reins to HiFi Sounds who will continue to stock a lot of the equipment Moth used to.

I had dealt with Mike several times and always found him to be a gentleman and I am glad that his mantle has been passed on

Thank you and our last Email

Very Sadly Mike Harris, the founder of Moth Group and British Audio passed away at the start of the year. As such we have taken the decision to close the business. The website will be disappearing in the next couple few weeks, and we thought it was time to say our goodbye's.

Mike started Moth Group 45 years ago, and it quickly became a passion as well as a job. One of his favourite things was chatting to cusotmers, and he used to love exhibiting at Hi Fi shows to spend the day catching up with freinds and customers.

The last few months have been very difficult for the family, but the process of shutting down the business was greatly assisted by Simon, the owner of Hi-Fi Sound In Stockton. Funnily enough Simon first met Mike at one of the Hi Fi Shows, initially as a customer, but then a company in his own right.

As such we're more than happy to recommend Hi Fi Sound if you are looking for a replacement store, following our closure. They offer many of the products we stocked and a wide range of equipment as well. Just say Mike sent you.

We have also managed to source some remaining stock of Moth RCM fluid and Replacement Felt Pads, to ensure your Moth RCM can carry on cleaning.

So all that's really left is to give you all a heartfelt thanks for all your custom over the years. Mike was a huge fan of Hitchhikers Guide the the Galaxy so it feels very appropriate to sign off with...

Nice to hear that some of these iconic products will still be available.
It would be a shame to mothball them.

He rewired my Ittok LVIII many moons with the Incognito kit, fantastic work at a real bargain price, as I must say was everything else he sold.
