Suggestion for expanding the Linn Forum

Today in Hifi Kabin we have:

• LP12

• Linn Digital

Suggest addiong one more category:

• Linn Power Amps and Speakers

Suggest potential rename of "Linn Digital" to:

• Linn Digital Frontends

or:

• Linn Streamers and Pre Amps

This would make the Kabin even more inclusive to Linn owners and products.

Its something I will certainly consider for the future development of The HiFi Kabin. At the moment I am just taking things slowly and adding new forums as and when it makes sense to do so.

But for the moment there is always Other Equipment to encompass everything else

I think that's a good approach. Of course I'm tapping into my vast experience running fora, NOT! But I can see value in allowing things to develop organically. The needs will become apparent in time.

Another suggestion to add to the list for the (hopefully not too distant) future. I miss the opportunity to add a quick response icon to a post - a thumbs up or a smiley or similar. Does the forum software offer this option?

I assume that you mean a "Thanks" or "Like" button.

I have tested the available extensions and as yet have not found one that I would be happy to use. They all have their problems and as such I will not be installing any.

And whilst I am on... One of the 'nicest' features of the WAM site was that when you clicked on a thread title it took you to the latest unread post rather than just the first post. I know we can use the little red sheet of paper icon but I often forget this. I suspect it is an attribute of the forum software you are using rather than just a click option but I think it was really useful.

I do like the red icon. I just go to Quick Links, New Posts, then red icon.
