Odd behaviour on Android

Post by timster »

I have noticed some oddness with chrome on android wrt the banner. The Kabin picture seems to be superimposed on the text, and the floating "Forums" marker seems to scroll with the body, but over the top of the banner.
Not too easy to explain so here's a screenshot

The reason that is happening is due to the length of the 'nesting' of the forum you are viewing, in this case

Board index > The Music Room > Other Equipment > Loudspeakers

overflows the space available and goes onto the next line thus overlaying the Kabin image.

I could bring the image to the front, which would then overlay the text. Would that be a better solution?

Other than what Coyote Jim suggests above I can not think of another way around it right now

I've just noticed that it looks like you are using the 'Large Font' extension, try disabling that and using your browsers zoom, that might work out better

I'm actually not using large font extensions. I tried turning them on and that made it worse.
It's not major, just wondered if it was a bug. I'll try unsticking, although that was quite a nice feature for long threads.

I've just borrowed a Samsung with Firefox and I can not replicate what you are getting, The text wraps at the end of the line, but is just lies next to the small Kabin image not superimposing it self over it.

If you are not using Firefox maybe give it a try and see what happens

Thanks for the suggestion. Rather than downloading another app I tried Samsung Internet. It does appear to be browser specific as it truncates the path names:

I've turned sticky banner back on but will stay with chrome and live with it. As it's no biggie 😉

As you have discovered, every browser handles some code differently to others, its virtually impossible to make everything look perfect on every version of every browser.
