I just noticed, that both speakers will produce a short, soft hiss, when put into stand-by or woken up from stand-by.
It originates from the electronic section in the back and reminds me of a PC vent, when briefly starting and stopping again.
It seems to be intended, both speakers generate it in parallel and it is repeatable.
Do you notice the same? You need a silent room or might need to get close to a speaker in order to hear it.
BY
I tried it. I did hear various clicking (switching) noises, but nothing I'd describe as a hiss.
Update: Last night when putting the system into standby, I did hear a sound that I hadn't heard before. I'm sure it was the same sound that you heard.

P.S. Perhaps it is a fan noise and the fan wasn't running earlier as I wasn't pushing the volume during the day. Last night I was listening (DS) at 70.

P.P.S. I just remembered you said you heard the sound coming out of standby. That would indicate maybe a fan coming on independent of heat.
Yesterday, I didn't hear the sound upon waking from standby, but I did hear it when shutting down last night.

Excellent! I have the LP from the 1970s that I bought new. I was DSing last night, as I think both of those LPs could use a cleaning. Was too late and lazy last night for that. I may give them a proper spin tonight.

because in Italian if you put the adjective "grande" in front of the object it can also mean "very good" but if you put "grande" after the object it only means big. that is: "un grande (very good) tweeter é meglio di un tweeter grande (big) - a very good tweeter Is Better than a big tweeter.

Nooo, You hit me!!
the color of your 360 is really ugly, in fact Linn colored them only for you. And then I know that the drivers of the 360s colored on request get ruined because they have to color them twice, the second time with the drivers mounted. Linn puts loudspeakers with drives in a Oven!!!
anyway, no, I'm not jealous!! :smt083

It's been a month and a half and I'm finally getting acclimated enough to the new system to make adjustments to the speakers' positions. Virtual tunedem is saying move them forward from 22 cm from the front wall to 24 cm. I'm also thinking about moving them apart from each other a couple of centimeters. I don't think much adjustment will be needed. But I've found that even a centimeter does made a difference.

The LP just arrived. Giving it a first spin. I'm just amazed at the sound quality. It's just so much better than DSing. The bass is more tuneful, and the high ends are better sorted with more music coming through.

It is a very good album on DS too! Although I prefer 'Touch'.

Was DSing the album for about two weeks. It sounded very good. The LP just sounds so much better. "Stella" will be arriving today. I did listen to "Touch." I'll have to revisit it as I'm liking Yello more and more.

Installation took a while but worked fine.
Updating now. It says DSM and Exakt updates on the Linn App on the iPhone. I tried it on my computer and I got screens alternating between "Updates Available" and "Systems are up to date."

Seems to be working as I'm at 75% complete. I did hear a whirring sound from the left speaker for about a minute.

Update: That was a pretty scary update. My speakers' LEDs were left flashing white for a long time. I finally intervened. Got a message saying "System in Fallback mode." I'm not sure what I did exactly but all is working fine now.

I heard the same whirring sound from the right speaker as well. It just happened well after it did in the left speaker.

The last firmware/software update was rather involved and indicated Exakt updates. I'm not sure that I'm not hearing an improvement in sound quality since. Has anyone else (@Baba Yaga) maybe experienced a boost in sound quality?
