Peters travels

Post by Mr Onion »

I was just thinking that all of Peters travels to set up LP12's all over the world would make a great travelogue type TV show, so all we need is a catchy title. My efforts so far are:-

Travels of a LP12 guru

Radikal Journeys

My Kinky Journey (my fave so far)

So now its over to you

Nice thread, thank you.

The fact is, I just like travel and meeting like-minded enthusiasts and if I can combine this with what I do.... Then great and why not!

Mainly I'm around the UK, but now and again I do go further afield when the need/opportunity arises.

2014 is likely to be fairly low key after last year's fun as I have the small matter of relocation to attend to. But I have a few people in places to visit :)

London tomorrow, Geneva and then Chamonix on Wednesday, followed by Basel for Thursday/Friday and Lucerne Saturday and most of Sunday before getting back to London and then home for about midnight. I'll be back at work first thing Monday though...... Five LP12s to look after in five days. It will keep me on my toes for sure, but I'll get a little time for sghtseeing as one needs some balance.

I'll try and post some pictures when I can.

The first patient had a Cirkus, Maple plinth, Hercules, a new motor and a Trampolin 2 with a new Adkit stylus for good measure.

Not some of the large scale upgrades you'll read about sometimes, but here my client just wanted a reasonably good sound in his winter apartment when living away from the UK. He was prepared to wait until I was able to combine his visit with others locally, thus making the whole exercise worthwhile for everyone and at reasonable cost.

He was really quite shocked as to how everything sounded better following the re-build.

Basel is a nice place.
The language can be a bit hard work even if one speaks French and German.
The two have got mixed together over the years and its like its own language/dialect in parts.
Have fun.

Peter
I thought that was one of those Dynaudios.
I still have a few of those pictures stored on my old PC.
His listening room was the size of a nice size one level theatre and he had those fit Chinese women dressed in black with white cotton gloves to put the records on and turn them over for him.
That diamond encrusted bling Bentley was something else.
