No worries Mate. BTW nice Jag. Takes me back to my modified Mini days, as my mate Steve had one we re-built in BRG - Nice and a red leather and walnut inside.

I did some work in KL a few years ago and stayed in the hotel right next to the towers (I think it's the building hiding behind the trees) in the first picture. I was saddened by the trip. Only a few miles outside KL city and I got to see the poverty - such a stark contrast with the wealth in the city.

I just remember how hot and humid it is over there in KL.
The other thing that I remember was someone trying to tactfully explain that I shouldn't try to get into one of the white Limos for hire that were pulling up outside the hotel (with young ladies in them) because it was the young lady that was for hire, not the Limo. The Limo I was told doubles as a 'room for business' as well as their transport. They were so embarrassed about their explanation that it took a while for the penny to drop which simply made it even funnier when it finally did. It could have been an elaborate windup but I don't think so having then watched them from the safety of an outside bar further up the road
Sorry to lower the tone.
Edit - feel bad now about painting KL in that light. Every city in the world is the same, just without the Limos Fascinating country, lovely people interesting food and excellent service. Strange mixture of hi-tech and a former world and that 'damn heat' as the colonials would say.

1. Was that sauce as hot as it looked Peter?
2. Did the shirt stay clean?

LOL! note the three glasses on the table........One was for NasaScuba my client and the other was for Alison, my new partner and often travelling companion. Although I could have probably managed all the dishes at a push as it tasted so good
Needless to say, I didn't see any white Limos, but I must agree about "Fascinating country, lovely people interesting food and excellent service. " from what I saw in such a relatively short time.

Yes the sauce was hot but not OTT. Extremely tasty!
On this particular occasion the shirt stayed clean
However, when dealing with the wonderful Singaporean Chili Crab, I opted for a disposable apron and a set of nut crackers, seriously!
However, my shirt still suffered!
Worth the effort? Unequivocally yes.

Im glad Alison shares your love of hight's man because you have dragged her up some buildings over the last couple of years.
I get vertigo just looking at some of your pictures.
Its strange because hight's never used to bother me until i was in my late 30s.
Any film or TV program thats shot at hight looking down makes me feel sick and i have to shut my eyes or look away.

That's a shame and yes I intend to take her to a few others if I can. However, as it stands for me, there really is only one and I have been fortunate to visit in 2013 and then again with my daughter Nikki in 2015. I hope it doesn't make you feel sick, just wow..... The Burj at sunset:
Taken at the Top Sky 148th floor.

I was having a look through a load of old pictures you have sent me over the last 10 years and some of the live Skype pics that used to make me want to grab a Callard and Bowser cream lined toffee.
The one of that indoor swimming pool thats right up against the glass windows a few hundred floors up in Hong Kong
Still makes my head spin.
I've noticed its been used in a few films since you were first there.
