Re: Peters travels
We did quite a bit of hiking around Cincinnati and saw lots of deer etc - They just wouldn't keep still, so here's a couple of the wildlife who did!
As soon as I got closer it popped under the stone and it was in no hurry to surface after
I was lucky with this one
Wild turkeys too!

Just a couple more pictures from my final port of call on my latest USA trip.
With a Tranquility and the latest Chord Music running from the Urika to Din on the 552 it sounded amazing
And with the system:

Peter,
How did Mr L respond to the fitting of the Tranquility ? I suspect he has put his new headphones down for a bit?

Re: Peters travels
Hi Mark,
Ah yes, best I post his comments from the Blue place - and so from the horses mouth so to speak:
Link:Peter
I listened for about 2 hours yesterday - I'M BACK!
Tranquility - WOW!!!
If it is somehow possible:
MORE microdetail
LESS congestion=more tuneful MUSIC, more emotion
(you can really hear the drummer wacking away with meaning and authority)
I am going to attribute most of the improvement to the Tranquility as the MUSIC interconnect was there before thus the only change to it was the implementation of a collarless DIN?
Best
Gregg

Re: Peters travels
Gregg - it's probably a bit of both but the the Tranquility is wonderful, especially for the price

Re: Peters travels
Not very much time between trips this time and my last of 2017 I think!
A bit of a long haul this time but great to be here supporting my fellow Linn/Naim Retailer Harry York of Audio Genesis in Darling Harbour Sydney - What a great place to hear Linn and Naim systems and a few others besides...........
I managed to help out setting up a couple of LP12s during my visit and it was good to meet up with some Australian LP12 owners:
I've managed to do quite a bit of sightseeing too
More soon...........

Sydney from a different angle -- From the Westfield Tower:
Pity it was cloudy, but the weather was great thankfully when we went to the Blue Mountains - A must if you visit Sydney. You can get to Katoomba one of the popular viewing places by bus, train or car in under 2 hours - Wonderful.......
I went whale watching from the harbour in Sydney too. Very worthwhile trip lasting about 3 hours but the pictures I managed to get of some Humpback whales were not very interesting really.... Just tails!

Re: Peters travels
Hi Guys,
Sorry for the lack of posts here but I have been pretty maxxed out here, what with a large number of LP12 requiring help and dealing with the Kystal cantilever issue, plus a few other things but hopefully I'll post some pictures from my time in Melbourne, Singapore and Kuala Lumpur shortly.

Thanks for taking the time to share some fab Scenery in OZ.
Too high though.
With my extreme phobia about flying my only alternative view of Sidney is this one.
Cheers.

Re: Peters travels
Jim, Maybe one day you'll give it a go and just fly to East Midlands as it's only 20 miles from the shop
Anyway, here's me in Melbourne this time taking an LP12 to bits so as I could use some of the parts going forward with my client's project...... A Radikal LP12 with a Tiger Paw Khan, Kore, Krystal and a second-hand Wenge Harban plinth which was brought from a guy in Tasmania I understand! Very nice plinth

Re: Peters travels
Setting the suspension came next and you'll notice the Ittok supported by the Krystal box as the Ittok will be soon replaced by an Ekos Se/1 and possibly a Keel and so we decided after a bit of a chat, not to drill the Kore and effect it's re-sale value..
The box is easily moved when cuing up of course.....

Hi Peter.
Thanks for the encouragement and you always have an open invitation for me to visit and have a jolly maybe sometime but would probably be more in line with gravity than not.

Re: Peters travels
Jim, whilst in Melbourne I was extremely fortunate to be offered a flight along the coast in a Cessna by my client's son who is building up his flight hours and hopes to be an airline pilot Alison, my partner is not that keen on flying and was a little concerned in being taken aloft in a small plane!
That was the case until we took to the sky, thereafter she had a huge grin from ear to ear as she loved the experience! We were indeed most fortunate an here I share a few of the pictures we took. Unforgettable experience!!!
just for you Jim, you can play spot the runway on the final pic!

Re: Peters travels
Peter,
Superb pictures and thank you for taking the time to dig them out.
If Alison isn't too keen on flying I dread to think where I would be on the scale.
As for the cockpit dashboard picture I prefer less dials and a bigger wheel not to mention the scary notice at the right bottom of picture it's a bit late for instructions once up there.
I was going to jest about the runway having a curve but you know I'm not that nuts.
Super pictures and I'm glad for this view of them.
I'm building a grand collection of would never have been seen images had you not shared thank you again.

Re: Peters travels
Never mind runways with curves, you should see how many are like a rollercoaster. Leeds/Bradford is (literally) on the top of a hill. RAF Binbrook's runway was up/down/up/down. RAF Lasham has an Elephant buried there (overwintering Circus many moons ago)
Like you Peter (and now Alison) I love small aeroplanes. Smaller the better, and if they don't have an engine even more so (if theres no engine, it can't go wrong Thats the inner glider pilot speaking)
Hope your clients son achieves his dream. See the world and get paid for it (just like you )

Re: Peters travels
Talking about roller coasters, We took a trip out on the Great Ocean Road from Melbourne. This road has an amazing history and what a drive!!https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_Ocean_Road
You can make out the road cut into the hill side above the sea and it's like this for much of it's 150 mile length!
Lots of lovely places along the route - This is Erskine Falls

Good grief!!! Time flies and certainly so for this year So busy building/setting up LP12s and systems plus running several manufacturer events)
I really must get around to posting pics from where I've been installing:
Anyway, next week I head back to the USA and I will be posting on events!

Re: Peters travels
Thought while looking through some sleeping threads I might resurect this one.
I know there's been a few offshoots but this travelogue type topic might sustain some interest
KABIN has come a long way in recent times and a jolly nice community it is so to rekindle some exotic interest I thought I'd ask the question
Where are you Peter?
That might reach ok.

Hello Jim,
Is it really that long! Ok well I'm on the LP12 Facebook group a lot these days if anyone is interested and have been posting about a few trips there. I'll try and catch up and do the same here then....If there's interest
